BDLC is currently looking for a full-time floating teacher! A floating teacher's main responsibility is substituting for teachers who are absent short-term or out for extended periods of time such as maternity leave. Floating teachers must be familiar with implementing developmentally appropriate activities and play experiences for children ages six weeks to five years. As this is a full-time 40 hour/week position, floating teachers can also step into classrooms as additional support when not filling in for an absent teacher.
High School diploma required. CDA or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Willingness to obtain CDA, at minimum, required. Must be willing to undergo a TB test, drug screen, and fingerprint background check upon hire.
