Overview
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and maintaining Par 4 Plastic's Quality management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with customer requirements, automotive industry standards , and internal quality objectives. This position will drive continuous improvement initiatives, oversee quality personnel, manage customer relationships related to quality concerns, and ensure production processes consistently meet quality expectations.Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, HACCP, CGMP, and other relevant standards.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external quality audits to verify compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Oversee quality control processes including inspection, testing, and validation of plastic injection molded components for automotive applications.
- Manage root cause analysis and corrective action procedures to address non-conformities swiftly and effectively.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production workflows, reduce defects, and enhance overall product quality.
- Conduct regular analysis of quality metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for process enhancements.
- Train and mentor staff on quality systems, inspection techniques, regulatory requirements, and best practices in QA/QC.
- Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards.
- Formulates and maintains quality control objectives complementary to Par 4 Plastics policies and goals.
- Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality
- Supervise and develop Quality Engineer team
- Review and approve PPAP submissions, control plans, PFMEA's, and process flow diagrams.
- Develop and track quality KPI's including PPM, scrap rates, customer complaints, internal defects
- Ensure compliance with all safety and company policies
- Monitor customer quality performance metrics and implement improvement plans.
- Analyze and establish corrective and preventative actions
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing quality management within the plastics or automotive sectors.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standards; familiarity with QMS, SOP's, is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough quality audits and inspections across complex production environments.
- Expertise in implementing and maintaining robust quality systems and processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Project management skills to lead continuous improvement initiatives effectively.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate across departments and ensure understanding of quality expectations.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
