DYG Appraisals is a growing residential real estate appraisal company serving Long Island and the New York metropolitan area. We are looking for a motivated, dependable individual who enjoys being on the road, meeting people, and working independently.
This is an excellent opportunity to begin a long-term career in real estate appraisal. No appraisal experience is required—we provide hands-on training and mentorship.
What You'll Do
As a Field Property Inspector, you'll spend most of your day traveling to residential properties and collecting information needed for appraisal reports.
Responsibilities include:
- Drive to residential properties throughout Long Island and NYC
- Conduct interior and exterior property inspections
- Measure homes using professional measuring tools and software
- Photograph the interior, exterior, and surrounding neighborhood
- Record property characteristics, upgrades, condition, and quality
- Identify any deferred maintenance or safety concerns
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and real estate agents
- Upload inspection data, notes, sketches, and photos to the office
- Maintain an organized daily inspection schedule
- Represent the company professionally in the field
What We're Looking For

- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and basic computer software
- Valid New York driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to walk properties, climb stairs, and spend several hours each day on the road
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in real estate, construction, engineering, architecture, insurance inspections, home inspections, photography, or customer service is a plus—but not required.
