Job Summary:
The Community Schools Coordinator is responsible for managing the implementation of the Community Schools model at one or more schools in the Cottonwood or Kearns Network. The incumbent ensures the delivery of academic, social, emotional, and health-related services to students and families. The coordinator collaborates with school staff and community partners to provide wraparound supports, foster family and community engagement, and support whole-child development.
Essential Functions:

Leads the implementation of the Community Schools model in alignment with district and school priorities.

Coordinates programs and services to support students' academic, emotional, and physical well-being.

Collaborate with school leadership to develop and execute a Community School Action Plan based on identified needs.

Establishes and maintains partnerships with local service providers, nonprofits, businesses, and government agencies.

Organizes and facilitates family engagement activities, community events, and parent leadership opportunities.

Collects and analyzes data related to student needs, service delivery, and outcomes.

Reports progress and key performance indicators to school and district stakeholders.

Supports the integration of community school strategies within school culture and operations.

Provides professional development and ongoing support to school staff on family and community engagement.

Required Education and Qualifications:
-
Requires a Utah State Board of Education (USBE) cleared criminal background check.
-
Requires one of the following:
-
a valid Professional Educator License issued by the Utah State Board of Education with one of the following professional license areas of concentration:
-
Early Childhood Education;
-
Elementary;
-
Secondary;
-
Special Education;
-
School Counselor
-
School Social Worker; or
-
School Psychologist;
-
a current Clinical Social Worker (CSW) license or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license issued by the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL); or
-
an equivalent license in another state.
Required Prior Experience:
-
Requires a minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in a licensed educator position.

Prior experience with community-based programming or family engagement in education is preferred.
Note: The District reserves the right to make specific requirements for this position, however, when prior work experience has been evaluated to be particularly pertinent, some exchanges between training and experience might be authorized.
