Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Batch Plant Operator with proven experience to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will oversee the concrete batching plant, ensuring efficient, safe production of high-quality concrete products. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, mechanical systems, and fabrication will be essential in maintaining smooth plant operations, troubleshooting issues promptly, and adhering to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects and manufacturing processes with a focus on precision, safety, and productivity.
Duties
- Prepare mixer for operations at the beginning of the day and perform shut down procedures at the end of the day.
- Efficiently operator computer-controlled batch system, mixing concrete and aggregate, cement, color
- Knowledge of mix designs
- Read and interpret computer orders to control mix designs and to set appropriate slump
- Manage raw material inventories such as aggregates, cement, and additives, ensuring proper storage and timely replenishment.
- Conduct routine inspections of plant machinery and equipment—performing minor repairs or coordinating maintenance as needed to minimize downtime.
- Utilize heavy equipment for material handling within the plant safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols by conducting regular safety checks, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to OSHA standards.
- Document production data accurately, including batch logs, maintenance records, and incident reports for quality control purposes.
Skills·
- ACI certified technician Grade 1 preferred
- Proven experience operating concrete batching plants in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly.
- Knowledge of concrete forming techniques and finishing processes for quality assurance.
- Familiarity with safety standards related to manufacturing plants, and heavy machinery operation.
