Overview
We are a growing paving company seeking dependable Entry-Level CDL driver to join our crew. No experience is required- we're willing to train the right person who is motivated and ready to work.
This position is ideal for someone who wants steady, local work and the opportunity to grow within the paving and construction industry.
Duties
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles including dump trucks to transport equipment and materials such as stone and asphalt to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assist the paving/work crew as needed between loads
- Follow all DOT and company safety guidelines
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance on/off job sites
Skills
- Valid CDL A (Commercial Driver's License)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen
- Excellent communication skills with a strong work ethic and team-played attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work outside in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail in completing paperwork and maintaining vehicle logs
