Duties
- Stock, organize, and replenish produce items on shelves and displays to ensure freshness and visual appeal
- Operate RF scanners for accurate inventory tracking and pricing updates
- Use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move large quantities of produce safely
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of produce areas, including packaging stations and storage zones
- Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular inventory checks, and reporting discrepancies
- Support shipping & receiving processes by loading and unloading deliveries with proper safety practices
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about produce products, offering recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Skills
- Proficiency in operating RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse or material handling equipment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory effectively using inventory management systems
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Experience in retail store operations, grocery or produce departments preferred
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to display produce attractively and promote sales
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Basic math skills for pricing, inventory counts, and retail math calculations
- Customer service-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including shipping & receiving procedures
- Attention to detail in maintaining product quality, cleanliness, and safety standards
