American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 28-bed PCU unit, requiring 2+ years of med/surg telemetry experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Work in a 28-bed PCU unit (20 telemetry beds, 8 step-down beds) in a hospital setting
-
Adult cardiac and med/surg patient population including CAD, CHF, and NSTEMI cases
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 with approximately 3-4 admissions per day
-
Day shift schedule: 7:00am – 7:00pm, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

On-call required 1 shift per pay period if census drops

Every other weekend (EOW) required
-
Every other holiday (EOH) coverage required

Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact license recognized in NC
-
Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)

NIHSS certification required
-
CPI-A certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of med/surg telemetry RN experience required

Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited nursing school; BSN or MSN preferred

Two professional references required for consideration

Fast-paced unit well-suited for critical thinkers with strong assessment and prioritization skills
-
Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, discharge planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, point-of-care testing, and safety promotion
-
ACLS certification is preferred but not required

BSN/MSN support and clinical ladder opportunities available at this facility

PCCN certification support available for interested candidates
