Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 7-12 grade Science/Computer Science Teacher to inspire and educate students in the wonders of the natural world. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative instructional strategies and learning technology tools.
- Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on laboratory activities covering topics such as biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, and computer science.
- Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, standardized tests, and project work, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, inclusive environment conducive to learning.
- Mentor students individually or in groups, offering academic advising and support tailored to diverse learning needs, including special education considerations.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, research projects, and extracurricular science programs to enhance the educational experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral reports while ensuring compliance with school policies and standards.
- AP training preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education with a focus on Science or a related field; higher education teaching experience is preferred.
- Valid teaching certification for high school science instruction; state-specific licenses required.
- Demonstrated expertise in core science subjects such as biology, chemistry , physics, computer science, and mathematics.
- Extensive laboratory experience including dissection techniques, microbiology procedures, molecular biology methods, and research laboratory experience.
- Strong classroom management skills paired with effective communication skills for working with students of varying abilities.
- Experience designing curriculum units that incorporate instructional design principles and research-based teaching practices.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools for virtual or hybrid instruction; proficiency in library services and educational software is advantageous.
- Knowledge of standardized testing preparation, tutoring strategies, and assessment techniques to measure student achievement accurately.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
