Kitchen Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Vang Coffee Bar – Quincy, MA
Vang Coffee Bar is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our growing team. This is a full-time position for someone who enjoys working in a clean, organized kitchen and takes pride in preparing food with consistency and care.
We're looking for someone who is reliable, works well under pressure, and is committed to growing with our team long-term.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards.
- Assist with assembling sandwiches, pastries, and other menu items.
- Wash dishes, kitchen equipment, and maintain a clean workspace throughout the day.
- Restock ingredients and organize inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out).
- Label, date, and properly store all food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards at all times.
- Receive and organize deliveries.
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily kitchen cleaning tasks.
- Work efficiently with the front-of-house team to ensure timely service.
- Complete additional kitchen tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Previous kitchen, café, bakery, or restaurant experience is preferred.
- Full-time availability is required.
- Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Able to help cover shifts when necessary.
- Looking for a long-term commitment.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow recipes and procedures consistently.
- Strong organizational skills with a clean and professional work ethic.

- Training Rate: $15.25/hr for the first two weeks

Schedule
- Day and evening shifts available
