Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class A or B Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves commercial truck driving with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service. The driver will operate curtain side trucks and trailers, perform equipment inspections, and deliver products to multiple customers. The position offers a consistent schedule, with home every day and only four days of work per week. The ideal candidate will be familiar with DOT regulations, possess basic math skills, and have a strong commitment to safe driving practices.
Duties
- Operate Class A or B commercial trucks, including curtain side trucks and trailers, in compliance with all DOT regulations.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning before each trip.
- Deliver products to multiple customer locations efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities.
- Complete necessary paperwork, logs, and documentation related to deliveries and vehicle inspections.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the truck and trailer as needed.
- Adhere to dot regarding driving hours, rest periods, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred but not mandatory; training provided for qualified candidates.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation.
- Basic math skills for handling measurements, weights, and documentation.
- Ability to perform routine equipment inspections and identify potential issues.
- Strong attention to detail, safety-conscious mindset, and reliable work ethic.
- Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following company policies.
