Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Automotive Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and precision. Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of automotive parts inventory, including sourcing, procurement, pricing, demand planning, and replenishment to meet operational needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) partners to ensure reliable sourcing and favorable terms.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, storage, inventory management systems, and equipment repair to maximize efficiency and safety.
- Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as AS400 or similar platforms for order management, parts administration, data entry, and inventory control.
- Coordinate with internal teams on parts sourcing strategies, order management system updates, and internal communication channels to streamline workflow.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards related to forklift operation, warehouse management, and equipment handling.
- Monitor logistics inventory management processes to optimize shipping & receiving procedures while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Lead negotiations on pricing and sourcing strategies to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Implement demand planning techniques to forecast parts needs accurately for both manufacturing and automotive service departments.
- Support automotive diagnostics and vehicle systems knowledge to assist in parts identification and troubleshooting when necessary.
Skills
- Extensive experience in supply chain management, procurement management, and logistics inventory management within the automotive industry.
- Strong supplier management experience with a proven track record of negotiation and sourcing OEM parts and accessories.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems such as ERP platforms (e.g., AS400), CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), or similar tools.
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive parts, vehicle systems, auto body repair processes, and automotive diagnostics.
- Familiarity with warehouse management practices including shipping & receiving procedures and warehouse experience.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, data analysis, and internal communication purposes.
- Knowledge of Parts administration experience including order processing, pricing strategies, demand planning, and parts sourcing.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with strong internal communication abilities to coordinate across departments effectively.
- Experience working within dealership environments or automotive service centers is highly desirable.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
