Job Title: CNC Mill ( (1st & 2nd Shift) & Lathe Machinist (1st Shift)

Position Overview
We are seeking experienced CNC Mill and Lathe Machinists to join our client's team in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating complex CNC milling and lathe machines, performing machine setups, troubleshooting issues, and producing precision components with tight tolerances and complex configurations. Candidates must be able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high quality and productivity standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of machining experience.
- Experience in the Aerospace industry.
- Ability to perform machine setups on CNC Mills (4-axis and 5-axis machines) and CNC Lathes.
- Ability to follow setup instructions, including:
- Setting up fixtures, vises, rotaries, boring jaws, and face plates with fixturing.
- Mounting and aligning tooling and workholding devices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience operating and working with complex machining equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Skilled in performing precision machining on parts with complex configurations and close tolerances between interrelated surfaces.
- Ability to obtain and maintain first-piece inspections by following setup procedures and quality requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate complex CNC milling and lathe machines.
- Perform machine setups and adjustments according to work instructions and engineering specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining processes and equipment issues to maintain quality and productivity.
- Maintain part specifications by adjusting machine controls and replacing worn tooling as needed.
- Conduct first-piece inspections and ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Perform precision machining on components with intricate geometries and close tolerances.
- Read and interpret setup instructions, blueprints, and manufacturing documentation.
- Work safely and effectively while meeting production schedules and quality requirements.
Schedule
Our client offers a 4-day work week, with machinists working Monday through Thursday, 10 hours per day.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
