The Welcome Home Delivery Specialist supports Safe Haven's Welcome Home Program by safely transporting and delivering donated furniture and household items that help families transition into permanent housing. This position plays an important role in creating welcoming, fully furnished homes by ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and with care.
The Welcome Home Delivery Specialist operates the agency box truck, assists with loading and unloading donated items, collaborates with volunteers during delivery days, and helps maintain the agency vehicle and delivery records. This position serves as a positive ambassador for Safe Haven while interacting with volunteers, donors, community partners, and, when applicable, clients.
Moves happen on Thursdays and/or Fridays. This position is approx 4-10 hours per week.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with loading, unloading, securing, and transporting furniture and donated items while following proper lifting and safety procedures.
Provide courteous, respectful, and professional interactions with volunteers, donors, community partners, and clients when applicable.
Experience with deliveries, moving, warehouse operations, or logistics is preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, and climb stairs as needed during deliveries.
