Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for children, fostering their development through engaging activities and lessons. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of children's activities, attendance, and developmental milestones.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Organize and participate in recreational activities that enhance children's social skills.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the classroom.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in child care or education settings is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Experience with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations is beneficial.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance communication with families.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with parents and children.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Experience in clerical or administrative roles is an asset, including data entry, filing, typing, proofreading, calendar management, and general office management tasks.
