Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize embedded software for robotic systems using languages such as C, C++, Python, and Embedded C, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Design and implement algorithms for sensor data processing, signal analysis, localization, mapping, and object recognition utilizing machine learning techniques.
- Integrate hardware components including FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays), microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators to build cohesive robotic solutions.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on PCB design, firmware development, and debugging using logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Create and maintain APIs such as RESTful APIs for communication between robotic modules and cloud services like AWS or Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Conduct software testing, unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure system robustness within real-time operating systems (RTOS) and Linux environments.
- Utilize version control tools like GitHub or SVN and follow Agile methodologies for efficient project management and content development using Confluence or UML diagrams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field with strong fundamentals in embedded systems programming.
- Proven experience with embedded software development on microcontrollers or FPGA platforms; familiarity with ARM architecture is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in programming languages including C++, Python, JavaScript, Java, PHP, Visual Basic, MATLAB/Simulink, and shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with sensor integration (ultrasound, Zigbee, IoT devices), signal processing techniques, and algorithm design for robotics applications.
- Knowledge of operating systems such as Linux or RTOS environments; experience with device drivers and OS kernels is advantageous.
- Familiarity with network protocols including TCP/IP, TCP/UDP sockets, Ethernet/WAN configurations; experience with network monitoring tools is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex engineering issues using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, debugging tools, and software troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong analysis skills coupled with excellent collaboration abilities in Agile teams; experience with Jira or similar project management tools preferred.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,929.67 per year
