Machinist Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various machining tools and equipment, with a focus on precision and quality. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. The Machinist will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components for our manufacturing processes.
Machinist Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments to ensure precision in machining operations.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Machinist Skills
- Proficiency in operating Fanuc controls and programming CNC machines is preferred.
- Experience with forklift operation for material handling is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks for design interpretation is advantageous.
- Competence in using hand tools for assembly and adjustments of machined parts.
