Chemical Process Operator
Basic Position Function:
Responsible for chemical process unit operation, material handling including charging and discharging of chemical products in drums and totes, packaging finished product, process control and adherence to standard operating procedures, safety and environmental compliance activities, and analytical testing of production samples to assess product compliance with specifications.
2-2-3 schedule, 5:00 pm to 5:00 am.

Qualifications:
A High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos. Have the ability to write simple correspondence. Have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one to supervisor or other employee.
Individual must be able to function effectively within a work team environment, possess good communication skills (written and verbal), and possess good computer skills.
Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Responsibilities:
Operates tier lift truck or uses hand-truck to move, convey, or hoists shipments from shipping receiving platform to storage or work area.
Operates various process equipment and computer control systems.
Performs minor maintenance tasks to maintain process equipment.
Other duties may be assigned.

The employee is occasionally required to work from high platforms. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
