Wig Stylist / Warehouse Assistant
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Wig Stylist to join our team. This role is responsible for styling, maintaining, and preparing wigs for character performances while also assisting with minor costume repairs and general warehouse support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced entertainment environment. This position allows you to set your own schedule and manage your time independently while ensuring responsibilities are fulfilled.
Responsibilities
- Style, maintain, clean, and prepare wigs for character meet & greet and events (wigs are mainly synthetic-hard front & lace front).
- Perform wig maintenance, including washing, setting, detangling, and basic repairs.
- Assist with minor costume repairs, alterations, and maintenance as needed.
- Ensure wigs and costumes are organized, performance-ready, and properly stored.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with inventory as needed.
- Collaborate with management and entertainers to ensure costume pick-up and drop-offs run smoothly when needed.
- Support with preparation on larger multi-entertainer events when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in wig styling and maintenance is required.
- Ability to perform basic sewing and minor costume alterations and repairs.
- Open availability during weekdays is required.
- Availability to work occasional weekday evenings from 5-7pm (primarily for Monday & Friday pick-ups/drop-offs), as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with theatrical character hair, makeup, and costume preparation.
- Experience working in a costume warehouse, including inventory management and organization.
- Previous experience in theater, theme parks, live entertainment, haunted attractions, or similar performance environments is a plus.
