Wichita Technical Institute is a provider of technical, “hands-on” training, is seeking a highly motivated Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Instructor. This position requires a strong knowledge of Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology and at least 3 YEARS of experience in the HVAC field.
HVAC Instructor Essential Functions
- Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus provided
- Supervise independent or group projects, laboratory work or other training
- Advise students on academic and vocational concerns
- Maintain knowledge of relevant student certification testing to ensure class activities support testing needs in addition to needs in the workplace
- Observe and evaluate students' work to determine progress, providing feedback, and making suggestions for improvement when necessary
HVAC Instructor Requirements
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills in the areas of collaboration, team participation, creative problem-solving, conflict resolution, group planning, and decision-making.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be student-focused and work well without close supervision
- Bring a spirit of enthusiasm, energy, and multi-cultural awareness
- Have a moderate level of computer and technology skills
- No previous teaching experience required
- Passion for helping other succeed on their educational journey.
