Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability for daily specials or catering events
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, storage protocols, and temperature controls
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy hours while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation

Skills
- Proven experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with specialized meal plans and dietary restrictions
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling within restaurant or food industry settings
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation to ensure efficiency and safety in the kitchen
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food storage procedures

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality control
