Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using accounting software such as NETSUITE ORACLE.
- Oversee payroll management tasks utilizing systems like ADP ensuring timely and accurate employee payments.
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist with internal controls testing and documentation in accordance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements.
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
- Collaborate with human resources on benefits administration and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) management.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including general ledger reconciliation and journal entry posting.
- Participate in special projects related to corporate accounting, governmental accounting, or non-profit accounting as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions and ensure data entry accuracy using 10-key typing skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles with a focus on technical accounting practices.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles along with experience working with various financial software such as QuickBooks, but we are switching to.
- Familiarity with payroll systems like ADP.
- Experience with SOX compliance procedures and internal control testing.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Proficiency in account reconciliation, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger management.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable processes and benefits administration procedures.

Pay: $64,211.46 - $77,329.94 per year
