Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the supervision and management of the fitness center
- Assist with the hiring, traning, supervision and evaluation of facility assistants and program specific employees
- Assist with organizing and delivering campus-wide programs designed to promote health and well-being to members of the Belmont community (students, faculty, and staff)
- Fulfillment of all general student coordinator responsibilities as outlined and communicated upon acceptance of position
- Completion of at least Beginning Level of BOLD programming preferred
- Detailed job descriptions are available upon request for specific leadership positions available in facilities, intramural sports, group fitness, personal training and brand management
Required Qualifications
Skilled use of Microsoft Office Suite
Skilled in effective conflict-management and supervision in unconventional (non-office) conflicts
Skilled in personal organization and time management
Ability to work outside conventional work hours (i.e. weekends, late nights, some holidays)
Ability to motivate student staff to perform at high standard of excellence
Required Education
Must be enrolled as a current student at Belmont University.
Required Experience
- Completion of at least Beginning Level of BOLD programming preferred - Previous experience working with the Department of Fitness and Recreation preferred but not necessary - Detailed job descriptions are available upon request for specific leadership positions available in facilities, intramural sports, group fitness, personal training and brand management
