Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Geothermal HVAC Installer to join our dynamic team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial and some residential settings. Your expertise will ensure our clients experience optimal indoor climate control through precise installation of complex Geothermal HVAC equipment. Duties
- Install commercial HVAC systems according to schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design specifications, ensuring all components are correctly assembled and operational.
- Conduct system start-up, testing, and commissioning to verify proper functioning of air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation units.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC equipment including boilers, refrigeration units, plumbing connections, and appliances.
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately install or repair HVAC/R systems.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for metal fabrication or repairs as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports, installation logs, and maintenance records.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local codes; operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely when transporting equipment or materials.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or mechanical trades with a focus on HVAC installation or service technician roles.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, and refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing systems, appliance repair, property maintenance, and boiler operation enhances your suitability for this role.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R systems combined with field service expertise is essential for troubleshooting complex issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with electrical testing tools like ohmmeters and welding techniques supports comprehensive system repairs.
- Previous mechanic experience or property maintenance background will be advantageous in managing diverse tasks on-site.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license required; experience with ammonia refrigeration or HVAC/R certifications is a plus.
