Overview
We are seeking motivated and skilled General Carpentry Floor Installers to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring a variety of flooring surfaces across commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces through precise craftsmanship, ensuring high-quality results that meet safety standards and client expectations. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install various flooring materials including hardwood, vinyl, tile, epoxy, carpet, and laminate with precision and attention to detail
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute installation tasks
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and repairing surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion and durability of flooring materials
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform installations, refinishing, buffing, and restoration work
- Apply caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation techniques to achieve seamless finishes and professional aesthetics
- Conduct floor refinishing activities such as sanding, water damage restoration, and surface preparation for new installations or repairs
- Follow all building material installation safety protocols and ensure compliance with construction site safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in flooring installation including hardwood, vinyl, tile laying, epoxy floor installation, carpet installation, and floor refinishing
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or schematics
- Familiarity with building material installation techniques such as caulking, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, and water damage restoration
- Ability to handle manual tasks involving hand tools and power tools efficiently while maintaining safety standards
- Construction site experience with a solid understanding of blueprint reading and construction plans
- Excellent manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy materials safely throughout the workday
- Knowledge of flooring care practices including buffing and maintenance for long-lasting results
- Previous experience in restoration industry work or remodeling projects is a plus
- Valid construction site safety certification or willingness to obtain required safety training
