Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision-engineered components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential in ensuring high-quality production standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about manufacturing, machining, and precision craftsmanship to contribute to innovative projects and advance their skills in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM programming software to produce complex parts with precision.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and engineering documents to accurately manufacture components.
- Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment, troubleshoot issues promptly, and ensure machines are calibrated correctly.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, tooling, and welding equipment as needed for assembly or adjustments.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency across production cycles.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming techniques
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings with GD&T understanding.
- Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, and welding techniques is a plus.
- Ability to use precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during machining processes.
- Knowledge of tooling setup, maintenance procedures, and the use of hand tools for machining tasks.
- Ability to work safely with power tools, forklifts (certification preferred), and other manufacturing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Join us if you’re eager to craft high-quality components through innovative machining techniques! We value dedicated professionals who thrive on precision craftsmanship and continuous improvement in manufacturing excellence.
