Central Minnesota Senior Care is looking for caring and dependable Unlicensed Professional to join our team!
This position provides daily support and assistance to residents in our assisted living communities. Responsibilities include helping with personal cares, daily activities, meal assistance, housekeeping, and companionship to ensure residents’ safety and well-being. Unlicensed Professionals work closely with nursing staff and leadership to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a team environment. Key Responsibilities:
Resident Care & Support
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Provide meal assistance, hydration, and encouragement to promote proper nutrition.
- Support residents with reminders or help for medications as directed by nursing staff.
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and engagement in social activities.
Household & Environment
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
Team Collaboration
- Communicate changes in resident condition or concerns to the RN, LPN, or supervisor.
- Work as part of a care team to ensure residents’ needs are met.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all facility policies, procedures, and state regulations.
- Support infection control practices and emergency preparedness procedures.
- Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous caregiving experience in assisted living, home care, or long-term care preferred but not required.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move frequently throughout the shift.
