Job Summary
AMP Residential is starting a Clinically Enhanced Intensive Support program for full time and part-time hours. This will require a higher level of Direct Care and commitment for DSP's accepted into the program. We are seeking a dedicated and energetic DSP Clinically Enhanced Intensive Support Specialist to join our residential team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health and clinical support to individuals with complex needs, including developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and mental health challenges.
Rate of pay is $24.00 per hour with education and/or experience related to this position that comes with higher expectations than the regular DSP position.
AMP is hiring for the following shifts for this specific position:
Full-time, 4pm-12am Monday through Friday (2nd Shift)
Part-Time, 10am-12am Friday & Saturday (Weekend Full Day Shift)
Requirements for hire:
For this position, AMP requires a 6-8 day orientation, 8:30am-3:30pm. This program will require 2 additional days of in-person training that must be passed and certified in order to be in the program. All training dates and certifications must be attended. No days can be missed.
Additionally, once in the program, you must attend all monthly meetings, quarterly 8-hour in person trainings, and annual trainings as required by 6100 / 6400 regulations. This program will require strict adherence to daily schedules, activities, constant engagement, and community support.
This position will deal with potentially aggressive behaviors, extensive hygiene care, and additional paperwork that will be required to be accurate and timely. Candidates must be able to physically pass an 8-hour personal emergency intervention class and be able to safely and quickly apply several different types of 1-person and 2-person interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License
- Access to a personal Vehicle that can be used daily
- Minimum of a G.E.D. or High School Diploma
- The ability to always learn, grow and have the positive attitude required to care for challenging individuals.
- Proven experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Strong skills in behavior management, behavior intervention techniques, and support strategies for individuals who have intellectual and mental health challenges.
- Be able to attend all required orientation dates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in social work, mental health, psychology, special education, applied behavior analysis, disability studies, or related field.
