Player 1 Academy is seeking an experienced and mission‑driven Childcare Center Director to lead our early childhood education program with excellence. This role oversees all daily operations, ensures full compliance with New York State OCFS rules and regulations, drives enrollment growth through effective marketing, and cultivates a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children and families.
The ideal candidate brings strong operational leadership, instructional expertise, and a deep commitment to high‑quality early childhood education. As the face of our center, you will champion regulatory compliance, educational quality, staff development, family engagement, and community presence.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and instructional leadership by developing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum plans that support early childhood development and learning outcomes.
- Oversee daily center operations including staffing, scheduling, enrollment management, family communication, and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate teaching staff; lead professional development to ensure high‑quality instruction and adherence to best practices.
- Ensure strict compliance with all OCFS regulations, licensing standards, health and safety protocols, and special education requirements.
- Manage budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to support sustainable program operations.
- Lead marketing, outreach, and community engagement strategies to increase enrollment and strengthen Player 1 Academy’s visibility.
- Monitor enrollment trends, maintain accurate records, and implement retention strategies to support long‑term program stability.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and communication with regulatory agencies, families, and organizational leadership.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in early childhood education administration, childcare center management, or K–12 leadership.
- Strong, demonstrable knowledge of OCFS rules, regulations, and compliance requirements — this is mandatory.
- Proven leadership experience supervising staff, managing teams, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Expertise in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and classroom management.
- Experience managing budgets, operational planning, and organizational growth initiatives.
- Familiarity with special education law, inclusive practices, and supporting diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills; ability to build strong relationships with families, staff, community partners, and regulatory agencies.
- Experience with marketing, enrollment management, or community outreach within an educational or childcare setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of childcare licensing requirements, educational policies, and legal compliance.
Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
