The St. Charles City School District is seeking an experienced, dynamic Excel Instructor to teach part-time evening courses for St. Charles Adult & Community Education. Classes are offered on a course-by-course basis and run contingent upon meeting minimum enrollment thresholds. This role involves delivering practical, engaging instruction tailored to adult learners seeking personal or professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction & Curriculum: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality coursework in Microsoft Excel tailored to diverse adult learning styles.
- Classroom Engagement: Foster a supportive, encouraging learning environment that motivates students and promotes lifelong learning.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, structured, and organized environment for all participants.
- Administration: Accurately complete and submit all required administrative paperwork, course documentation, and attendance records on time.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and fluency across Microsoft Office applications and internet tools.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional techniques, and curriculum planning.
- Effective classroom management and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications & Hiring Requirements
- Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a proven track record of teaching adult learners.
- Compliance: Must pass a background check and complete mandatory annual online safety training as a district contractor.
