Responsibilities
- Safely operate motor coaches, shuttle buses, and paratransit vehicles according to schedule and traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper maintenance standards are met
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, luggage handling, and answering questions
- Maintain clear communication with dispatchers and team members using radio or other communication devices
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations to ensure passenger safety at all times
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents or maintenance needs
- Assist with vehicle cleaning and minor maintenance tasks to keep vehicles in top condition
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus or motorcoach operation. Class B CDL with passenger endorsement required.
- Proven experience in bus driving, shuttle driving, or delivery driver roles with a strong safety record
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
- Familiarity with paratransit services, school bus driving, limousine operations or similar transportation environments is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English for interacting with passengers and team members
- Knowledge of bus maintenance procedures and safety standards
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle diverse passenger needs professionally
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing traffic conditions or unexpected situations
