As a Journeyman Electrician, you will lead a crew under the guidance of a Master Electrician to supervise the installation, alteration, addition and/or repair of electrical systems on commercial work sites. The ideal candidate should work from a position of “Safety First Always” and utilize all safety equipment and training provided to ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.

Requirements:
Core Responsibilities:
-
Ensure commercial electrical systems are installed, maintained, and repaired safely & efficiently
-
Read & interpret blueprints to plan & layout electrical systems
-
Utilize hand tools safely & effectively for various tasks related to building and maintaining electrical systems

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and codes during all electrical work

Coordinate with other tradespeople and contractors for seamless project integration and completion of projects on time

Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as an ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment
-
Maintain detailed documentation for future reference

Perform other project related duties assigned by General Contractor or other senior Electrician
Essential Skills:
-
Proficiency in blueprint reading and a solid understanding of electrical principles and concepts per the National Electric Code (NEC)

Extensive knowledge and experience in electrical systems, with the ability to work on high voltage installations and renovations

Ability to accept constructive criticism, follow directions and collaborate effectively as part of a team

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a commitment to safety
Desired Qualifications:

Must pass a drug screen

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Valid TDLR Journeyman License
-
At least 2 years Commercial Electrical Experience preferred

Have own hand tools; we will provide specialty tools
