American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with 1+ years of experience and multi-specialty scanning skills including OB, breast, vascular, and general abdomen.

Hospital-based Ultrasound Tech - Vascular position within a busy radiology/cardiology department
-
Department operates 24/7 Monday through Thursday, with 12-hour day shifts Friday through Sunday
-
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
-
No call and no weekend requirements

Preferred patient population includes neonates, infants, and pediatrics
-
Candidates will float as needed
-
Preferred equipment includes GE, Siemens, and Samsung ultrasound systems
-
PACS system used for imaging
-
Minimum of 1 year of experience required
-
ARDMS certification required
-
AB/OB/VASC certification required
-
BLS certification required
-
NY state license required if applicable
-
EPIC charting experience required
-
Must be able to scan independently in a fast-paced environment

Multifaceted scanning skills required including OB, breast, vascular, general abdomen, and GYN
-
Vascular background required for DVT studies
-
Proficiency in abdominal aorta, appendix, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, and spleen ultrasound
-
Experience with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester OB scanning and fetal anatomical survey
-
Experience with bladder, hernia, ovaries, prostate, renal/bladder, uterus, and vaginal ultrasound
-
Experience with breast cyst aspiration, breast ultrasound, and superficial masses
-
Experience with testicles/scrotum and thyroid ultrasound
-
Experience with carotid and Doppler studies
-
Experience with lower extremity venous and upper extremity venous studies
-
Experience with peripheral vascular resistance studies
-
Experience working with adult patient populations and Emergency Department settings
-
Experience with portable ultrasound exams
-
First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Distance requirement of more than 50 miles from the facility applies for consideration

Candidates must have no more than 10 days of requested time off
-
Returning staff must have a 6-month system-wide break in service to be eligible
