Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and hygiene to promote independence and self-care skills
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Implement ABA therapy protocols under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), ensuring fidelity to established care plans
- Support clients in developing communication skills through evidence-based teaching strategies tailored to individual needs
- Engage in direct behavioral therapy sessions, utilizing behavior management techniques to reinforce positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency across settings and promote client success
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles, behavior management techniques, and data collection methods
- Experience working in home-based or school environments supporting individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients’ daily routines with patience and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction, family collaboration, and team coordination
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices aligned with the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
