TactWare is seeking a Systems Engineer to support high-impact defense programs focused on Aegis, Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), and advanced air defense radar systems. This role emphasizes system design, analysis, and integration across multiple programs.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary engineering team contributing to both new system development and modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct system trade studies and analyses of alternatives to inform design decisions
- Perform system performance modeling and analysis to evaluate capabilities and constraints
- Define system interfaces and support functional decomposition and modeling activities
- Support requirements verification and test planning/execution
- Participate in engineering technical reviews
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation and artifacts in accordance with SDRL requirements
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship (REQUIRED)
- Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Permanent residents and green card holders are not eligible
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related discipline
- 1–10 years of system engineering (or relevant) experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in system engineering on DoD programs
- Radar signal processing, algorithm development, and AESA hardware/beam forming expertise; extensive MATLAB/Simulink modeling and performance analysis
- Requirements definition, verification, and system architecture using DOORS/MBSE, SysML, and trade study techniques
- End to end subsystem integration and test plan creation for radar system verification
