What You'll Learn
As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll assist in managing projects from award through closeout while developing the technical, financial, and leadership skills necessary to advance your career.
You'll gain hands-on experience with:
- Project planning and coordination
- Contract administration
- RFIs and submittals
- Procurement and material management
- Shop drawing review
- Assist with scheduling and milestone tracking
- Assist with budget management and cost forecasting
- Change order development and pricing
- Client, subcontractor, and vendor coordination
- Commissioning and project closeout
- Construction documentation
- Problem-solving in active construction environments

Primary Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day management of multiple electrical construction projects.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
- Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and closeout documentation.
- Assist with developing, pricing, and tracking change orders.
- Assist with procurement of equipment and materials.
- Coordinate material deliveries and maintain procurement logs.
- Support project scheduling and milestone tracking.
- Assist with monitoring project budgets, costs, forecasting, and monthly billings.
- Coordinate with General Foremen and field personnel to resolve construction issues.
- Attend meetings with owners, General Contractors, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Support commissioning, owner training, and project turnover.
- Maintain accurate project documentation using Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, ACC/Procore, and other project management software.
- Perform additional project management responsibilities as your experience grows.

Preferred Qualifications
- 1–5+ years of commercial, industrial, or federal electrical construction experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
- Experience with Procore, ACC, Accubid, ComputerEase, or similar construction software is a plus.
