Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining the sales floor, and contributing to the overall success of the store. Your ability to communicate effectively and your passion for retail will be key in driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their inquiries and purchases.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising and stocking practices.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with store policies regarding phone etiquette, cash handling, and customer interactions.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves, conducting inventory counts, and reporting discrepancies.
- Foster a welcoming environment for all customers, including bilingual communication when necessary to assist diverse clientele.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with cashiering duties and retail math is essential for accurate transaction processing.
- Strong communication skills are required to effectively interact with customers and team members.
