Summary
As a key member of the Transit Pros team, you will play an essential role in managing transportation logistics and ensuring seamless operations. This position is vital to our commitment to delivering exceptional service and support to our clients across the country. This leadership role involves overseeing nationwide operations in a call center environment, ensuring exceptional service levels for our clients, meeting profitability targets, and managing a team of 8-12 employees.
Responsibilities
- Oversee transportation management processes to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
- Identify areas lacking coverage and communicate these issues to the Vendor Relations department to ensure service areas are properly addressed.
- Quote Management: Approve quotes on a service-by-service basis, ensuring that profit margins are met while balancing effective service levels.
- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and manage vendor relationships.
- Coordinate with vendors for towing and roadside assistance services as needed.
- Operational Oversight: Manage operations nationwide, ensuring seamless service levels and profit margins. This includes managing the flow of work, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring all service requests are completed in a timely manner.
- Assist in training staff on logistics best practices and system usage.
- Quick thinking and decision-making to prevent or minimize service disruptions, ensuring that potential issues are identified and solved proactively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in towing industry and transportation management or logistics roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Experience in managing and improving processes.
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Strong communication skills, both internally and client facing.
- Financially astute, able to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with transportation management systems is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on efficiency.
