Summary Description:
The TOPPAN internship program is designed to “test the waters” of working in the manufacturing and packaging industry. You will spend your time working in a specific division on impactful projects, establishing an understanding of TOPPAN’s culture and processes, as well as developing a business mindset.
The program is a blend of hands-on experiences and opportunities. Throughout the program you can expect to gain a better understanding of your future potential at TOPPAN through valuable project work. Our internship program is designed to be a step towards joining the Emerging Leaders Program or other entry-level positions upon graduation. With approximately 150 locations in 34 states, your internship could be anywhere.
What you’ll be doing:

Attend quality gemba walks to monitor the quality of the product and ensure customer satisfaction.

Work closely with the Technical Manager, Process Engineer, and Management Team.

Provide project support for the Global Performance System (GPS) Pillars.

Attend Production Meetings, Focused Improvement Meetings, and other GPS Meetings as necessary.

Provide support for Certificates of Analysis and Customer Specifications.
-
Scan production jobs for color accuracy via ColorCert.

Maintain GPS KPIs/ Loss charts and report out to management.

Utilize GlobalVision system to inspect finished products.

Provide support for Defect detection and Vision systems.

Review Vision system reports and provide feedback to management team.

Help design, implement and maintain new quality systems.
This is an onsite position based out of our Waco Texas Facility

Currently pursuing a college degree, preferably related to Manufacturing/Operations
Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional roles with support.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, adept at working with data.
Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
Compensation:
Based on year of college student is enrolled in:
Freshman - $15.50
Sophomore - $16.25
Junior - $18.00
Senior - $19.50
