Jr./Sr. High School Custodian — LeGrand | Afternoon/Evening | 8 Hours/Day
POSITION OVERVIEW
East Marshall CSD is seeking an afternoon/evening Custodian for the Jr./Sr. High School building at LeGrand for the 2026–27 school year. This is a 8-hour per day position working afternoon and evening hours. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
REQUIRED CREDENTIALS

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Valid Iowa Driver’s License
-
Ability to pass a background check as required by Iowa law
-
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform sustained physical labor
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
Previous custodial or building maintenance experience — preferred, not required

Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and products
-
Reliable, self-directed, and able to work with minimal supervision

Positive and professional demeanor around students and staff
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
-
Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, cafeteria, gym, locker rooms, and common areas

Set up and break down furniture and equipment for events and activities as needed

Perform routine building maintenance tasks and report repair needs to the buildings and grounds supervisor

Operate custodial equipment including floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other cleaning machinery

Assist with seasonal duties including snow removal and grounds upkeep

Other duties as assigned by the buildings and grounds supervisor or building administration
