Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Operations Project Manager with expertise in pre-opening, coaching, and training within the exhibition industry. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and launch of exhibitions, with a strong focus on preparing teams for operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing pre-opening activities across North America, designing and implementing training programs, and coaching staff to deliver exceptional exhibition experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Opening and Operations:
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for pre-opening exhibition phases.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, operations, marketing, logistics, and sales, to ensure seamless event execution.
- Act as the central point of contact for reporting problems, issues to relevant company departments
- Organise regional management team recruitment with the Human Resources Department.
- Oversee venue setup, infrastructure readiness, and operational testing to meet industry standards and deadlines.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure a smooth launch.
- Conduct pre-opening assessments and ensure all necessary approvals and permits are secured.
Coaching & Training:
- In close collaboration with the company’s training Academy, Design, develop, and implement training programs tailored to exhibition staff, focusing on customer experience, operational efficiency, and best practices.
- Conduct workshops, seminars, and hands-on training sessions for staff at different levels.
- Provide leadership coaching to team members, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Assist in the development of training materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, and instructional guides.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration:
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and partners to align pre-opening activities with contractual obligations.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and professional development among teams.
- Communicate project updates, challenges, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on exhibition pre-opening and training.
- Strong operational, financial, and analytical acumen.
- Excellent people management and leadership skills.
- Strong background in team coaching, training program development, and talent development.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with a focus on operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Project Management or related fields.
- Experience in the exhibition, events, hospitality, or entertainment industry.
- Familiarity with digital training platforms and learning management systems (LMS).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to adapt training programs based on evolving business needs.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
