This role involves performing high-quality commercial painting on a variety of projects, including large multiunit complexes, while working as part of a professional crew. The Commercial Painter prepares surfaces, applies coatings using various methods, and ensures a clean, precise finish that meets project standards and timelines.
Responsibilities-
Perform commercial painting on buildings and large multiunit complexes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.

Prepare work areas by completing all necessary site preparation, including cleaning, masking, and protecting adjacent surfaces.

Caulk and prep surfaces thoroughly prior to painting to ensure proper adhesion and a professional finish.

Use rollers, brushes, and cutting-in techniques to apply paint accurately and efficiently.

Operate airless sprayers and spray guns safely and effectively when required for specific projects.

Inspect surfaces for defects, perform minor touch-ups, and ensure all painted areas meet quality standards.

Work collaboratively with teams of 5–10 painters to complete projects on schedule.

Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment at all times.

Maintain and care for personal tools and equipment, ensuring they remain in good working condition.

Arrive on time with reliable transportation and be prepared to work scheduled shifts.

Clean up job sites after completion, including removal of masking materials and proper disposal of waste.

Communicate clearly with crew leads and team members regarding progress, issues, and material needs.
Essential Skills-
Minimum 2–3 years of commercial painting experience.

Proficiency in commercial painting techniques, including rolling, cutting in, and brush work.

Strong experience in caulking and surface preparation prior to painting.

Ability to perform paint prep, including site preparation and masking.

Hands-on experience using rollers and working on commercial painting projects.

Ability to use airless sprayers and spray guns or willingness to learn with some prior exposure.

Knowledge of safe work practices and consistent use of personal protective equipment.

Reliable transportation to travel to job sites as scheduled.

Ownership of basic painting tools required to perform daily tasks.

Ability to work effectively as part of a painting crew on large projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications-
Spray painting experience using airless sprayers and spray guns is a strong plus.

Work Environment
You will work on commercial properties and large multiunit complexes as part of a crew of approximately 5–10 painters. Typical work hours are either 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, providing a consistent daytime schedule. The role is hands-on and physically active, often requiring standing, reaching, and working on ladders or scaffolding. Painters must wear painters’ whites and full personal protective equipment at all times, including a hard hat, high-visibility vest, work boots, and safety glasses. The environment is safety-focused and team-oriented, with multiple trades and crew members working together on active job sites.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
