About The Playground
The Playground is an indoor sensory motor gym designed to help children build confidence, independence, and developmental skills through movement and play. We serve children from birth through age 8 and offer a combination of individual therapy, group therapy, enrichment classes, and community programming.
Our mission is to create a place where children move, play, learn, and grow together.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and treat children ages 0–8 with a variety of developmental, sensory, fine motor, visual motor, self-care, and feeding needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and functional, family-centered goals.
- Provide engaging one-on-one occupational therapy sessions in our sensory-rich environment.
- Lead or co-lead small group therapy sessions and enrichment programs focused on sensory processing, self-regulation, handwriting readiness, fine motor development, social participation, and life skills.
- Collaborate with physical therapists and speech-language pathologists in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Educate and coach parents to support their child's development at home.
- Complete timely documentation, progress reports, and plan of care updates.
- Help create innovative therapy groups, seasonal camps, and community programs.

Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Mississippi Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility)
- Pediatric experience preferred but not required
- Experience with sensory integration, feeding, handwriting, and self-care skills is a plus
- Passion for play-based, family-centered intervention
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a team
