A restaurant server is the primary face of the dining room, responsible for greeting guests, taking accurate food and drink orders, delivering meals promptly, and processing payments while ensuring a warm, welcoming, and clean environment.
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and offer detailed menu and daily special recommendations.
- Accurately input food and beverage orders into the POS or handheld system.
- Run food and drinks from the kitchen and bar to guest tables in a timely manner.
- Check back on guests to ensure satisfaction and handle any requests or issues immediately.
- Process cash and card payments accurately.
- Clear, pre-bus, and sanitize tables throughout the shift and complete side-work.
