Job Overview:
Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to business leaders by aligning human resources initiatives with organizational goals. This role provides consultative support to managers and employees in the areas of employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, workforce planning, employee engagement, benefits administration, compliance, and policy interpretation.
The HRBP promotes a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. This position serves as a trusted advisor to leadership by providing guidance on employee issues, organizational effectiveness, and HR best practices while balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR operations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
HR Business Partnership
- Partner with managers and department leaders to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, and employee development.
- Advise leadership on company policies, employment law compliance, and HR best practices.
- Support workforce planning, organizational development, and succession planning initiatives.
- Assist managers with performance improvement plans (PIPs), corrective actions, and employee coaching.
- Foster employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
- Build strong working relationships with employees at all levels while serving as a trusted HR resource.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and offer processes.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and recruitment strategies.
- Ensure completion of all pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screenings, and onboarding documentation.
- Support new hire orientation and onboarding to ensure a positive employee experience.
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
- Coordinate benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and annual open enrollment activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit questions and issue resolution.
- Maintain benefit records within ADP Workforce Now and ensure data accuracy.
- Partner with insurance brokers and benefit carriers regarding plan administration.
- Monitor compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, and other applicable regulations.
- Assist with 401(k) administration, reporting, and employee education.
- Prepare benefit utilization reports and recommend process improvements.
Employee Relations
- Conduct workplace investigations while maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.
- Provide guidance and support regarding disciplinary actions, coaching, employee concerns, and terminations.
- Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
- Support conflict resolution and recommend appropriate solutions to workplace issues.
- Promote a respectful and productive work environment through proactive employee relations.
HR Compliance & Administration
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HR documentation.
- Assist with internal audits, compliance reporting, and record retention.
- Review, update, and implement HR policies and procedures as needed.
- Support HR initiatives that improve operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
HRIS & Reporting
- Maintain accurate employee information within ADP Workforce Now.
- Generate HR reports, workforce metrics, and analytics to support business decisions.
- Assist with compensation benchmarking and salary analysis.
- Monitor HR data integrity and recommend process improvements.
Training & Organizational Development
- Coordinate employee training programs and professional development initiatives.
- Support leadership development and succession planning efforts.
- Assist with performance management processes and employee development planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications: Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience required.
- Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, and performance management.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and handling confidential employee matters.
- Experience with HRIS systems; ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

They must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information. A proactive attitude, adaptability to shifting priorities, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. The candidate should also be comfortable using digital tools and recruitment systems and show a genuine interest in supporting candidates and contributing to a positive hiring experience.
