Position Type: Full-Time, Entry-Level with defined career path
Role Overview: Join a professional two-person crew at ServiceMaster Restore.
We provide 100% of the training required to handle small-scale structural demolition and transition you into a certified, higher-paying Water Damage Restoration Technician role.
Duties
- Assist with demolition projects, safely removing debris and preparing sites for restoration work
- Support water, fire, flood, and mold remediation efforts by performing cleaning and restoration tasks
- Operate hand tools and power tools under supervision to complete various repair and demolition activities
- Follow safety protocols including respiratory protection and asbestos abatement procedures when necessary
- Participate in emergency response readiness by supporting quick action during incidents such as water or fire damage
- Help with cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning and debris removal to maintain a safe work environment
- Contribute to the overall restoration process by assisting with documentation using industry-standard software like Xactimate
- Future Tech Tasks (Post-Training): Respond to residential emergency calls, map moisture levels, set up drying equipment, and log data into an on-site computer or tablet.
Requirements
- Physical Fitness: High stamina required; must be able to lift heavy equipment, bend, kneel, and perform continuous physical labor.
- Professionalism: Clean-cut appearance and strong communication skills suitable for high-end residential homes.
- Eligibility: Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills related to demolition and restoration industries
- Ability to work safely with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Basic construction experience or familiarity with building materials is a plus but not required
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety protocols such as respiratory protection and asbestos abatement procedures
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Prior experience in emergency response readiness or cleaning services is advantageous but not mandatory
