Two dedicated Special Education Teachers are needed onsite for a learning center serving students in Autistic Support Rooms for the 2026-2027 school year. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum, preferably in an Autistic Support setting
- Strong classroom management skills and experience implementing IEPs
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and pre-assigned IU training completion
- All current Pennsylvania school employment clearances required prior to start
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized instruction in accordance with IEPs
- Foster a structured, positive learning environment tailored to meet the needs of students with autism
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and support staff
- Monitor student progress, adapt teaching methods, and provide regular updates to parents and administration
- Maintain documentation, uphold compliance, and contribute to a welcoming classroom culture
- Participate in school and district-based meetings and professional development
