The Admissions Specialist is responsible for assisting patients and their families with completing necessary admission paperwork and ensure its appropriate order and filing once completed. This is a full time position at Friendship Health and Rehab Center - North located on Hershberger Road.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responds to the needs of patients and their family members by executing all required admission agreement information and answering related questions.
- Communicates concern to the Administrator when patient and or legal representative is able to sign admission paperwork.
- Responsible for taking pictures of all newly admitted facility patients and updates patient medical record timely.
- Provides patients and families with pertinent facility information including: Room Rates, Patient Handbook, Beauty/Barber, Shop Services, and Personnel Directory.
- Maintains oversight and maintenance of resident admission records, including uploading and updating patient medical record.
- Schedules Welcome Meeting for all new patients at time of admission agreement signing.
- Assists families and residents with telephone connection (long distance) requests.
- Upholds facility expectations related to exemplary customer service and communicates any concerns identified with appropriate team member or department for prompt resolution.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and assist positively in patient and family experiences.
- Flexibility to work as needed in emergency circumstances.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must possess basic computer skills and be familiar with basic office equipment
- Must possess excellent phone/communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
