Home Health Caregiver
Companion/Sitter service include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
- Providing companionship, friendship and emotional support
- Playing games/cards, reading to clients etc
- Helping keep clients in contact with families, friends and outside world
- Providing transportation to medical appointments, grocery store and errands
- Accompanying clients to recreational and social events
- Performing light housekeeping, reminding clients to take medication
- Reminding clients to start or finish meals, meal preparation
Pet care Homemaker service include, but are not limited to , the following
- Conducting routine housekeeping activities such as
- Making /changing beds, dusting
- Washing dishes, pots, pans etc
- Cleaning kitchen counters, cupboards and appliances, including oven, and stove top burners
- Cleaning inside refrigerator
- Gathering trash inside the home and setting it out on designated trash pick/up
- Sweeping, vacuuming , mopping etc
- Teaching and performing meal planning and preparation
- Assisting with special, written diet plans and reinforcing diet maintenance which is provided under the direction of a Physician
- Escort or transporting clients to medical facilities, errands , shopping and outings,
picking up medications and posting mail Personal Care services include, but or not limited to, the following
- Assisting with eating, including preparing food for clients with eating difficulties by cutting or pureeing
- Monitoring food and liquid intake , following special diets, ect
- Assisting with hair care, shampooing, brushing
- Assisting with pivot transfers, use of transfer belt, wheelchair, walker or cane
- Assisting providing basic skin care, including washing and drying skin, applying non-prescription body lotions , observing skin changes
- Assisting with dressing including putting on support stockings, which do require a physician's prescription
- Encourage clients to do normal body movements as tolerated
- Assisting with urinals, bedpans, and commodes, providing bowel and bladder incontinence care
Assisting with positioning in bed, wheelchair, toilet and chair Hygiene services include, but or not limited to , the following
- Assist with bathroom, bed bathing, sponge bath, showering and perineal care
- Using bath equipment, including tub seat, hand held shower wand
- Assisting with bowel regularity, including
- Monitoring bowel movement and apperance
- Following prescribed diets for bowel maintenance
