Position: Experienced IDD Qualified Professional (QP)

Overview:
Ryan’s Place is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and seasoned Qualified Professional (QP) with proven experience supporting adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about quality care, compliance, and leadership. A sign-on bonus will be offered after the eligible employment period.
The QP will supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), mentor staff, support individuals and families, and ensure all services comply with Medicaid and state standards. You will serve as a key liaison between members, families, treatment teams, and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), advocating for individual needs and coordinating care to ensure continuity and quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct annual and as-needed assessments, including Qualified Professional, functional, preference, and needs assessments.
- Oversee service authorizations, assist with appeals, and justify additional service hours as needed.
- Maintain compliant medical records, documentation, and reporting per Medicaid and clinical standards.
- Supervise DSPs, providing guidance, training, and professional development.
- Ensure all services are delivered according to member care plans, documenting progress accurately and timely.
- Participate in program planning, quality assurance, and special projects as assigned.
- Uphold member rights, dignity, and agency values in all interactions.

- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of experience working with the I/DD population in direct care or facility-based settings.
- 1–2 years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
- Must meet Qualified Professional (QP) requirements under 10A NCAC 27G .0104.
- Bachelor’s degree in health, human services, or related field.
- Valid driver’s license and full-coverage auto insurance; ability to transport members as needed.
- Background and driving record checks required.
Required Certifications and Training:
Completion and maintenance of trainings, including but not limited to: CORE Orientation, NCI/NCI+, Medication Administration for Unlicensed Professionals, CPR/First Aid, HIPAA, cultural competency, Medicaid rules, abuse/neglect prevention, incident reporting, and waiver-specific trainings (Innovations, 1915(i), TBI, etc.).
